Planting syngonium is important because it is what will condition the good recovery and growth of your plant for the months and years to come.

Syngonium in pot:

The syngonium should be planted in potting soil or even better, special houseplants.

Choose a bright location, but without direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators.

  • Repotting can be done from February to October
  • Syngonium tolerates low light

Syngonium outdoors:

Growing syngonium outdoors is only possible under certain conditions, the first being to have temperatures that never drop below 15 °.

Please note that growing syngonium outdoors is only possible where the climate is relatively mild in winter.

Also appreciating tropical climates, this plant has a great need for humidity.

So if you live in a region with a more tropical climate, mix your garden soil with potting soil and choose a place that is partially sunny but not hot.

Watering the syngonium

Water the plant only when the soil surface is dry and avoid excess water so as not to suffocate the roots.

Space the waterings to the strict minimum during the winter rest period, as the plant then has limited water requirements.

During the growth period, a general of May to October, add green plant food to give your syngonium more vigor.

In summer, spray the foliage with water to moisten the leaves that need it.

  • Always use non-hard water such as rainwater for example.

Maintenance of syngonium

Syngonium is very easy to grow. It requires very little maintenance and is quite resistant to various diseases.

It may be prone to attacks from mealybugs, ofred spiders and of aphids.

While adding organic fertilizer can restore tone to the plant, it is not necessarily essential.

This shrub grows very well indoors throughout the year and can be brought outdoors from May to September.

A temperature of 18 to 25 ° is recommended for good growth.

Syngonium size:

No pruning is essential in syngonium.

The aerial roots are very useful to the plant. It is therefore recommended not to touch it.
